Muthu Glasgow River Hotel

Hotel was clean and fresh. The problem was the fire alarm kept going off. Last time I stayed it went off at 3 in the morning and had to evacuate. This time 10 in the morning and again at 11 at night. Also boy racers were doing doughnuts in the car park. For these reasons I will not be staying again.

Pool was lovely, dinner was great, rooms are ok, walls aren't thick and you can hear a lot during the night. Not expensive though.

Advised when I arrived...the lift was out of order...then told I was on 2nd floor but understanding ground floor and mezzanine were 3 storeys....

Dirty only two plugs in the room, none near the bed One of our rooms hadn’t been cleaned at all yet so had to get that changed Food from restaurant was clearly microwaved, not nice at all Very basic room

Very dated, needs substantial investment the access road and car park are a mess and the whole place feels dated and tired.

Booked as a surprise trip and travelled a long way for disappointment. First room we were given looked nice but someone had recently vomited in the room and floor was soaking wet with a foul smell. We were then given another room with a generally grubby appearance with soap residue on the bath and mould on the bathroom roof. The third room we received was better than the other two but by this point the night was ruined. The staff were friendly but overall it wasn’t a positive experience. Hotels.com have been trying to obtain a refund but cannot get in touch with someone whom is authorised to do so.
