We changed rooms twice, once because of a 12 foot streak of mold on the ceiling due to poor plumbing and a significant musty smell, and second because the portable air conditioner was useless because the ventilation tube (going out the window with press board around it) was not secured to the air conditioner. I was astounded they would put us in a room with mold (black spots along the streak) and such a musty smell.

Super friendly and accommodating staff! Hotel seems to need an upgrade. It felt dated and dirty in the hallways and bathrooms. Our toilet was very dirty and needs to be replaced. The towels were okay, some were thicker and nice and others were quite thin. Same with the pillows. The lobby was nice and the coffee was good.

Air conditioning was not working. Bathroom was dirty, tiles cracked, grout was rusty, parts of ceilings and wall were peeling. Frig/freezer had a 3 inch ice build up. Feet and socks turned black walking on the carpets. Very neglected

Room had left over food from previous guest. AC was ducted out the window and taped. Outlets didnt work. Continental breakfast was never refreshed between 9 and 10am. Eggs dried to warmer.

Room was dirty, bathroom and carpets filthy. Ceiling and walls peeling. Air conditioning broken. Mini fridge/freezer had ice accumulation about 3" thick. Shower tiles were broken and grout was rusty. Will never go back.

We went to a wedding and decided to stay at Hotel Mead. I am a travel agent, booked this through an agent site. When we got there the reception was nice, Lydia. At our room there were a lot of lightbulbs out. SA lot of lamps not plugged in. 3 out of 4 lightbulbs out in the bathroom. Decided to have lunch @ 230, the burger was ok. Shrimp was too smelly to eat. Carnita so dry on a flour tortilla with a smattering of cheese, nothing was taken off. I didn't ask for a refund it was just so apparent. After lunch the kids went to change. Somebody walked in the room without knocking. Then shut the door and knocked and said they bringing coffee cups that nobody asked for. There were many more than needed. One of the other wedding guests who booked that hotel walked right out and got a full refund, her room was filthy. The hotel never responded to me, my agent site said they offered 15% back to customer that never spent the night. I am furious and need to write this review. There are not a lot of options in Wisconsin Rapids and there is a restaurant/bar at this place. Go to one of the other hotels if you are in this town. Shameful.

We didn't have a clock in our room and I asked a young man who was at the front desk if we could get one and he said the hotel didn't do that. He didn't seem to understand what I was talking about. The next day I asked someone else and it was in our room before we got back to it.
