Hotel Mead Resorts & Conventions Center

It was quiet and had a convenient restaurant.

Facilities is dated and falling apart. Jacuzzi water was dirty and green. Way over priced for the quality of the place.

The hotel itself is nice, it's an older building.

My rooms shower did not have hot water. I think the price could have been cheaper. Half the lights in room didn't work.

TLDR: for the price, stay somewhere else. I stayed here in mid-October. Our room and the hotel common areas were unbearably warm. When I asked why our room wasn't cooling down I was told it was because the air conditioning was off for the year. It was 80 degrees outside! The Internet signal is weak and unreliable, meaning the streaming-reliant TVs don't always work. The shampoo and body wash pumps in the bathroom didn't work, which I didn't learn until I was already in the shower. Expect to be hot, without Internet, and bring your own toiletries. The staff were apologetic and kind. But unable to fix the issues we had. While outdated, the hotel is clean and offers breakfast. We paid $220 a night and for that price I expect everything to work. Until this hotel gets an update I recommend staying elsewhere.

The breakfast is always great! A good selection of hot foods and fruit and cereals. The room was very comfortable. We didn't use the pool this stay, but when we have found it clean and well maintained. The Mead itself is a bit worn looking, but still my favorite place to stay in the area. Enjoy having fresh coffee and flavored water available any time. It is nice to be able to walk to downtown restaurants and bars and stroll along the river.

The Mead is a bit worn. A few decorative updates would be good. It is a large place with a lot to maintain. However, this really didn't take away from the pleasantness of our stay.
