Quality Inn & Suites Portsmouth

The manager and staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was secluded and peaceful. Not too far from town but away from all the negativities of Portsmouth.

The bed was not comfortable. The WiFi didn’t reach to my room and I wanted a weekend away to play video games and enjoy myself…couldn’t. The breakfast selection was very minuscule from what it use to be.

Staff was great.

When I got into my room, the room itself was clean, however the bathroom hadn't been swept properly as there were dead bugs on the floor, and apparently the housekeeping staff decided to use the bathroom before exiting, and failed to flush the toilet. Meaning that the toilet wasn't cleaned for our use. It was late and my family wanted to go to bed, so I did not call the front desk.

Location and price.

Pool currently being used as a storage area. That was the reason I booked this hotel. I mentioned being excited to take my niece swimming while checking in and the front desk made no mention that the pool was closed. There was a disturbing amount of stink bugs in my room all over the ceiling and window. I don’t mean a couple, I’m talking 20plus. I was told they are like that in every room. I couldn’t even sleep with bugs everywhere. The room overall was very dirty. Hair in the shower that didn’t belong to me. Gum on the bathroom floor that looked relatively fresh. An unknown substance on one of the beds. You could also see an imprint of where someone sat on the bed indicating that housekeeping probably isn’t washing them, but only “tidying” up the room. I was there visiting family for just two days. It feels like a whole wasted trip. I didn’t have access to the advertised amenities and got little to no sleep because of the room conditions. I wasn’t expecting a 5 star stay, just a decent one. I won’t be staying here again or recommending this hotel to family/friends.

Didn't have it

My stay might have been a fluke but we were given a room with a broken bed. Switched rooms and had to stay in a room filled with the smell of cigarettes. No towels were giving to us in the room, and we did not have a shower curtain. The room was not in the greatest shape, but for the money I can’t complain too much.

Room smelled like bleach. Bed was very uncomfortable.

The staff was great I had room 102 it took an hour for them to get us into the room because the door lock issues.. I checked out the next day on a two day stay because of the door and still didn’t get a refund… the toilet in the room also wouldn’t flush.. it was just a very bad experience for me I travel for hospice and this is the worst room I have came across

I would not recommend this place until it is gutted and renovated.
