Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Dahlgren-King George, VA

We stayed in a double queen bedroom. I was not made aware of the remodeling of the hotel until we arrived. Staff was friendly, but the stay was less than stellar from other stays at the same hotel chain. The hotel only had one elevator located on the far end of the hotel. There is only one ice machine located in the hotel lobby. The room smelled musty walking in the room but later goes away once the air conditioner kicks in. The room itself was typical, nothing stood out as outstanding in terms of comfort or amenities. Breakfast was provided and was fine. Overall, don’t expect to be wowed by this particular hotel, but at least the room didn’t smell of cigarette smoke. My father stayed in another room and his TV did not operate and his toilet didn’t work.

I don't recommend staying here at all. Unless you wanna be ripped off!! I was charged a $250 smoking fee and the room was not smoked in. None if us even smoke!! I'm not the only person this has happened to. My friend also got a room the same night I did and was charged the same thing. There is also other reviews where it's happened to alot of people. Think twice before staying here!! A one night stay here cost me $380 and I'm still fighting to get my $250 back.

Toilet seat kept sliding although the maintenance tech tried tightening the seat.The seat it self was the cheapest brand that will slide on the porcelain Toilet bowl The seat needed to be thicker or heavier or have grips to raise the seat off of the bowl. I know your going to remodel, the rooms should have been done first before putting up a new exterior outside . I have stayed there before quite sometime ago under a different ownership , at least the mildew smell is gone.

All the staff except for Venessa was nice. They should figure out how to have Christina there a lot more very professional as well as Ray! They had Otis Spunkmeyer cookies!! Now that was a wonderful blast from the past!! Nice touch!

Venessa’s professionalism and the cleanliness of the hotel. I vacuumed the room myself! And that was the second room I decided on! Housekeeping didn’t even ask me if we needed toiletries for the next day didn't speak just walked away! All the staff except for Venessa was nice. She was rude and unprofessional and unfortunately isn't the “Jack of all Trades” that’s she calls herself! She definitely needs extreme extensive training. There was also an issue with their system as well. PAY IN CASH!!!!

I wish I had checked the reviews BEFORE I had checked in to this location. WORST hotel EVER. heck were do I begin. I checked into the room early and yes the general manager approved of this. Upon check In the front desk lady had no clue. First card I gave her she said it was denied. Second card the same thing. I knew i had money on my card so I called my bank. The bank verified it. She had entered the expiration in wrong. We got thru that part. Walking to our room we smelled smoke and once I got to my room it was even more smoke. I was about to call the front desk but my friend who checked in her room said look at your card info to see if you were charged correctly. Long story short we charged 186.00 plus 50. We went down and fussed about this for about 20 mins. She said that it was because of early check in but would drop off. Completely forgot about the smoke. Next thing you know there is 186.00, 136.00 and 50.00 charge. Same thing. It will drop off. The NEXT morning I look and NOW there is a 200.00. I contacted the general manager and he said there was a charge for Marijuana fee. I HAVE NEVER SMOKED MARIJUANA a day in my life. Next he gets his housekeeping manager on the phone and she said it was cigarette smoke. WHICH ONE IS IT??? You trust and believe I will be fighting this. Also they are under renovation. The whole hotel is HORRIBLE. RUNNNN

Being charged $250 smoking fee and no one smoked in our room. None of us even smoke!! And they wouldn't refund the $250
