Castle Bamboo Waikīkī Hotel

The location was great, walking distance to the beach and shops

It’s very tired, shabby lampshades etc. kitchen facilities were not great no electric jug no wine glasses. TV didn’t work had to get maintenance man after 2 days of requesting he finally came.

Great position, central to everything. Older hotel but had everything you need for a great holiday. Our room had a kitchenette, so that was very handy for breakfast each morning. There were enough kitchen facilities that you could cook dinner if needed. Staff were wonderful, I left a swimsuit there when I checked out, called them, and they had already put it aside for me to pick up on my return to Waikiki.

Great location, super staff, liked the vibe of this laid-back small hotel.

Wasn’t fully comfortable with the security as sometimes the front desk was not manned (maybe for 15 minutes at a time) so there was no control over access to the property and guest luggage was out in the open rather than being stored securely.

Dated, our unit on the 6th floor was extremely loud with street noise. Most of the electrical outlets did not work.

We had a kitchenette room on the 11th floor, and it was great. We had everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Pool was wonderful, nice and small, and the added bonus of not having hundreds of people there fighting for sun lounges
