Location and the gardens are exceptional at this time of year. House is beautiful and hotel fits in it very well. Breakfast very good but poor choice for evening meal Lovely peaceful hotel usually at a reasonable price and well worth it. Hope my review does not put the price up as I would love to stay again.

Poor evening meal choice. Please look at homemade dishes.

"A wonderful experience!"

Firstly the building was incredible. High Victorian at its best and a real treat to stay in such opulent surroundings. Secondly, the food was very good and staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was a double and fine but would like to try a bigger room and wonder if they have decorated Victorian rooms at all. It was great reading about the history of what was once a Grand home.

The old building of 1881 and how well it's been kept and loving all the old wood.

room lovely ... atmosphere in bar and dining room lovely had a very nice meal in the dining room... waiting staff v attentive and helpfull

meal was great .. but if truly honest service was a little slow between courses.. that would be my only criticism
