Hotel Soleil La Antigua

The property is gorgeous, flowers and plants are mixed right into all areas. It's very well taken care of and the staff was amazing! They ensured that we were well taken care of during our time at the property. Oh and they even have a few parrots on property! The only slight ding on this review is that one of the two pools was being renovated while we were there. However, during our 5 night stay they basically completed the pool renovations. La Soleil doesn't leave things in an unusable state for very long.

The staff needs to be retrained, they are rude and very unhelpful. They also explain everything Incorrectly.

The hotel itself was fine, it was clean, had beautiful grounds and a few restaurants. The negatives, none of which had to do with the hotel or staff doing any wrong, were that the hotel is a bit far from the centre of town on a very busy road for about a 10 minute walk. Also the room was very dark. All rooms that I could see were dark, it was part of the original hotel design which has not been updated.

Great stay! The bathroom and room were very clean and the staff were incredibly accommodating and ready to help!

It was okay- not bad but not great. I am very disappointed in Hotels.com/Expedia though. I prepaid for breakfasts and the hotel said emphatically that it was ‘not in their system’. So we paid twice. The food decent however the service was poor and very slow. The massages at Thai Spa were good. The best experience was the gym, jacuzzi, steam and sauna. One pool was closed and the other played very loud music all day/night. Lives the music it was just way too loud. Live band was great! This is my last stay with Hotels.com. Last year they booked us a room that was not available when we showed up! The property said that happens all the time with them. Bad business practice like prepaying for breakfast only to have the hotel say ‘No’.

Nope. Not for me. I thought I was booking a nice hotel based on the reviews. It feels like a broken down travel lodge motel . Noisy city vibe. Loud cars passing by every five minutes - I had to change my room twice. There’s a fireplace in the room they burnt it for me which is really sweet except I woke up to the pain in my chest because of all of the smoke I inhaled. Thank God I only booked one night. The people here are sweet. And the beds are comfortable.
