Comfortable and clean beds. Clean room. Everything just looked tired and old. Staff was very pleasant and kind.

Breakfast was very limited. The orange juice tasted ‘rusty’ and diluted. Coffee eek!

The food was sometimes cold and the pool is highly chlorinated so it dried out my kids skin and hair. Half way through our stay our hotel room bathroom was covered in ants in our clothes and on the toilet seat counters THEY WERE EVERYWHERE. And they wouldnt let us leave that room for another one but that morning 6am they finally gave us a new room and that same day they rented out the ant infested room

"Refund for stay plus $600 for bags and slip and fall compensation"

Nothing Booking.com cost me $600. I booked a room on booking.com at the Best Western inn and suites in Lake Charles from 8/27-8/31/2025. The room I booked stated it was a king suite with a kitchen. I only booked the room at the Best Western inn because it stated it had a kitchen. My confirmation says as much. I flew from Las Vegas to Lake Charles, Louisiana for my family reunion and was supposed to cook for my family reunion. I brought food, cooking supplies and pots and dishes and 6 crockpots only to find out my room had no kitchen as advertised on booking.com for the Best Western. Upon checking in my room, I immediately saw that there was not a kitchen in my suite and quickly noticed the photos on booking.com for the king suite with a kitchen didn’t match the room at all. It was also missing the balcony that was stated on booking.com. I immediately contacted the front desk only to be told that the Best Western doesn't have rooms with kitchens or balcony. The hotel told me to contact Booking.com. on my 1st day I contacted booking.com and was told to wait 48 hours for the hotel manager to respond via email. I requested a full refund to find another hotel and was told Best Western had to agree to cancel my reservation. Booking said to wait for there response. I told Booking.com that the incorrect hotel description was very misleading and it cost me an additional $600 for checked bags to and from Lake Charles. Booking told me they would request it from the hotel. Because I couldn’t get any response any assistance with my room or refund I had no choice but to stay and wait for management to respond. I stayed there for 4 nights and went to the front desk each day requesting to speak with a manager who was never available. On my 2nd day my room toilet flooded the entire bathroom and room entrance and hallway and into the living room area and bedroom doorway.

The housekeeper came and got the toilet to stop running, she cleaned the water up from the bathroom and then went to bring a vacuum and attempt to dry the carpet. That didn't work. I requested to speak to a hotel manager for 4 days straight by going to the front desk. The front desk staff kept telling that they have no way of calling a manager for any reason. They can only email the manager. The front desk kept telling me they haven’t received any response from the manager yet and I needed to continue to wait. That is unacceptable for an hotel to not have management presence for 4 days straight. No accommodations or solutions were offered by the hotel or Booking.com. No signs in the bathroom or room period that stated the toilets would continue to run unless you giggle the handle multiple times and wait for the water to stop running. The front desk employee told me they didn't have anymore suites. Only standard rooms available. Against my mind, I moved all my items to the room across from my flooded room. The new standard room was extremely hot. The AC wasn't working. The front desk employee had me moved back to my original room that was flooded. The problem was that the carpet was still extremely wet and although the housekeeper put down towels to try to soak the water up it didn't help. The towels were soaked immediately and they were just left there. I slipped many times, and last time I actually fell on the floor in the hallway trying to leave the room. The housekeeper also put a loud fan that had a bad electric cord plug, in my room in an attempt to dry the carpet. That didn't work either. Plus made my room too cold and it was loud. The floor was wet for my remaining 3 days. I told the front desk that I slipped from the wet floor and she didn’t seem to care and kept saying she couldn’t do anything but wait for an email response from the manager. The hotel front desk staff was not helpful at all. For my entire stay the Manager never...

I would not stay there again or any other Best Western for that matter. looked like a cheap motel and smelled like mildew. Service sucked, minus housekeeping workers tried to due what they could, but management was just dismissive. Will be filing a complaint I would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason stay somewhere where you count not just your money.
