Adjusted our reservations when wife got sick and had a friend sail with me and therefore needed two beds

Need two chairs in the room

I liked the location. The beach access was good. Conjoined rooms was very nice to have the roominess four beds two bathrooms. The mature lovely lady behind the desk was reason enough to come back. She was very nice, hospitable and so very accommodating

Breakfast was not good. Bacon wasn't cooked properly, sausage was tasteless. Great value white bread was just awful hard boiled eggs were slimy and smelled real bad. The older man with a beard behind the desk was rude as hell even asked what room number we were in, like we would sneak in to eat the low budget breakfast. Second day we just went to Hardee's didn't want to risk getting sick. Mexican restaurant was tasteless, I'd refrain from advertising that for sure unless you like flies swarming you while you eat

I really don’t have anything good to say. If I have to say something I guess they had breakfast.

The place is old and very dated!! It’s not very clean at all!! There was hair all over the bathroom. It doesn’t feel welcome and comfortable at all!! It’s so not worth what they charge at all!! The pool wasn’t ready. It felt like you were staying at someone’s house amongst all their stuff. I was very very unhappy about the price because it was so dingy and dated. Honestly it’s a shithole!!

Was close to the lake . It is not on the lake as described. It’s on some small reservoir of water . Which the guy at the lobby stated there is no fish in there lol . That’s why we came to Carlyle .

We stayed in cabin #5 .The place was absolutely disgusting. The lobby sold us food out of the vending machine that was out of date by over a year. Even the sodas were expired. Bug infested . Dirt and mildew and food debris from the people who had been there before . The room upstairs window sill had dead bugs piled an inch thick . Such a shame because that place has such potential . ALL PHOTOS I HAD OF THIS PLACE IS ON MY GOOGLE REVIEW OF THIS PLACE . I have since deleted them so I can’t load them on here. So check out my google review for pictures of the dirty inside and expired food they sold me. Definitely not worth the money I spent for this trip.
