Extended Stay America Suites - Richmond - Hilltop Mall

It is nice to have a little kitchenette & the bed was comfortable.

Air conditioner didn’t work & the staff told me they knew that a week earlier. Supposedly a work order was put in, but the problem wasn’t fixed. The suggestion was to open the windows. I was traveling alone & on the first floor— not a safe situation. The kitchen was not equipped. Yes, you can rent kitchen supplies, but a few items might be nice. No shampoo or conditioner in the room. Again, you could get them from the front desk, but this isn’t a Motel 6!

The front desk person very helpful and nice showed me and my wife the rooms too stay in that was exceptional customer service.

This was my go to spot in the area. The workers are great amd helpful. I travel alone and felt safe here. Rooms are always clean. Mall snd shopping close by.

The smoke alarm started chirping on me super late and I did not feel like getting up and going all the way to front desk so I disconnected it to rest. I forgot to put back on wall and tell front desk. They assumed I had smoked in the room which i NEVER DO and I was banned from all extended stays for 5 years! Super unfortunate. They could see me on camera going outside to smoke but i guess its policy. I understand why they think that but I travel alot and enjoy extended stays so its a huge bummer. But other then that its a great place and I recommend to anyone
