"Fabulous hotel"

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Loved every minute of my stay and I luckily got to stay twice! Once in the new part and once in the older part. Both fabulous. They are the most amazing, caring, kind staff and security in the hotel. They were genuinely brilliant. The breakfast caters to everyone and I really enjoyed it. The pool area is gorgeous, as is the view. Can’t recommend the hotel highly enough.

The old building, pool and health club

The confirmation that i would stay in the old building, and they got me a room really far in the new building that is not worth the fee they charge. Very disappointing...

"A very pleasant stay in this beautiful historic hotel"

A gracious grand dame with timeless charm. Comfortable, spacious rooms, an inviting swimming pool, well-kept gardens, friendly staff, and an extensive breakfast buffet made our stay a pleasant one.

Almost all of the hotel is in good condition, but a few areas could use some attention: A) the perimeter wall behind the swimming pool is a good place for a walk and offers views of the city along the beach on both sides, but the walkway and perimeter wall is a bit worn & tired-looking compared to the rest of the hotel. B) There are floor tiles missing on the far side of the Verandah dining area, which I noticed throughout my three day stay. C) A few border wall tiles are missing behind the door of the guest WC past the breakfast dining room. D) This one is minor, but the small disposable butter tubs, usually found in cheaper restaurants, seemed out of place. I recommend more elegant butter containers in the dining room. As a hotel positioning itself as five star, these maintenance details require attention, after which it would be faultless.

"AVOID - unless you wish to pay twice!"

Very little.

The fact I’ve paid double. The screenshots show my bank confirming a double debit was made by the hotel, manually, 13 days after my departure. The hotel have given a wall of silence and I am having to make a chargeback via my bank, that can take months. Shameful.
