The Staff was ok.

The facilities were not that Great. Window in room cracked. The Room was generally clean, but not very clean and some stains on the couch. So not comfortable sitting on it or laying on it

"Nice Choice Property in Ashland, VA"

My faith in Choice Hotels has been restored. In a previous review I gave a very poor rating to a Choice Hotel in Statesboro, GA. The Choice Hotel in Ashland, VA is so much nicer. Ali greeted us and when I told him of our negative experience the night before he assured me we would be happy here. He was right. The room is what I expect for a nights stay. The exterior and lobby areas are clean. The room is well appointed with a sitting desk and comfortable chair. There are pictures decorating the room, a full view mirror, refrigerator with freezer, a coffee maker, good tv channel selection and pretty good wi-fi. Also, the breakfast is very good with fresh cooked eggs, good coffee, yogurt, nice fruit selection and the usual waffle maker. The bathroom is nice and clean. It would be nice if there was a grab bar in the shower but other than that everything is excellent. There are a number or restaurants nearby. Lastly, we both had a good night sleep. Although this property is close to the highway, there was no noise. Ali was right, we are not disappointed and will be back whenever we're in the area.
