Red Roof Inn Bloomington - Normal/University

Stayed for one night for an event near by, the room and facility was so dirty.

Locks were broke on the doors. Floors were in very bad condition. Water damage to flooring and walls. For $60 a night you should still feel safe. I left after being checked in for only 4 hours. Would NOT recommend.

This trip was for my son's orient for college. They say started of great. My husband finally made it into town. He got settled in and then he spotted a bed bed bug. Went to the front desk to let them know, we got another room and guess what? Another bed bug!!!! We requested our money back and these people will not give us our money back. Talking about some rules and regulations!!! What rule and regulations as states that a person doesn't deserve their money back if an establishment has bed bugs!!! The rooms weren't all that anyway. Whatever you do, don't stay at the red roof inn in Bloomington, IL

I was very disappointed in the common reception area. It was very dark and dingy, and the bathroom was out of order the entire time we were there. We were not given any information about the breakfast time schedule, and there was no information in the room about it, or any area restaurants either. I just went there at a reasonable time to see what they had to offer. Breakfast offerings were bread and bagels -with a toaster, juice, coffee, and milk, green bananas and one flavor of yogurt. Oh and two sweetened cereals. Margarine -not butter, peanut butter, cream cheese and two jelly’s were offered to accompany the bread. The refrigerator in the room was not even cool when we opened it up to put our drinks in it, but it did cool down after I changed the temperature setting. Even though my reservation clearly was for two people, it only had towels & washcloths for one person. I have stayed in many Red Roof Inns before, and I can say this one was very disappointing.

The service was horrible. I literally only needed 3 hours of sleep, because I was driving from Indiana to Texas back to fort cavazos. I reported to the front desk about the loud music and noises from the next room at 6am and nothing was done about it. I could not sleep. I ended up checking out after 2 hours and wasn't offered an apology, a cheaper rate or anything.

The bed was comfortable.

The bathroom- the vent didn't work and tub was stained The room - air conditioner was filthy, TV display was not working properly, the fridge was wobbly and the dresser drawers had not been cleaned.

staff is clearly working with what they have, and being considerate. the rust & water stains paired with loud tenants left me largely unrested unless i had earbuds to tune it out. no insect issues, and plenty of power solutions

Property is very dated. Keys did not work properly. Door didn’t close easily. The secondary lock was not installed properly. The rate was outrageous for the accommodations, $190.
