Mariposa Lodge

We have a dog, and I would have given a higher rating if there had been facilities for pets to use the bathroom,there was nothing at the hotel. There aren't many options in Mariposa for dogs to take bathroom breaks.

Really nice rooms with all the facilities.

The front desk staffs are terrible. The worst experience ever. They made mistakes when I checked in, then they waked up me 3 times to fix the problem, even after I told them I am sleeping and need to wake up early tomorrow to visit Yosemite. I told them I can come by the front desk when I check out to fix the issues. But they still keep disturbing my sleep by knocking the door and call the phone. Unbelievable. Really bad experience. They are very rude and careless to their customers.

This is a basic old-ish (70s) motel. The check-in person was very kind and welcoming. The rooms have been kept up pretty well even though the place is past it’s prime. the carpet in our room was quite worn and the shower head needs replacing. Lighting in the bathroom is outdated and oddly emits lots of heat. Bathroom vent is super loud. AC unit is also super loud. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Not a bad place to stay, very basic, nothing fancy, somewhat tired and worn but OK.

We walked to dinner each night. It was easier to get to Yosemite from Mariposa than using the Big Oak Flat entrance. Everyone at the motel was so nice. Clean, comfortable, large room.

It’s an older motel but well kept for its age. Clerk was extremely friendly. Grounds were very well kept. Beds were comfortable. Lots of places to walk to to eat or get ice cream. Very cute town. Would stay again.

Got there and checked in only to get off to a rough start. Got our room and instantly we noticed a funky smell to the room but didn’t no if to complain or not for the lodge looked old. But then we had issue with the TV and the front desk Teresa came over to try to fix. Upon entry she noticed the smell and said if we have any pets. I said no we did not so she was confused why they placed us into a pet friendly room. I said it would be ok but she said absolutely not and that we didn’t have pets so no reason to be in that room and it had a weird musty smell so she instantly changed our room and was so gracious and helpful. The room was nice to do our basic needs as we head to Yosemite and back but she made it so much better and I appreciated her. She made my rating go from okay to good. Working currently with hotels.com for the pricing difference was a lot as when I checked out they showed me the final cost and way cheaper than what hotels.com charged (over $100 difference) Will update once I hear back from hotels.com on why pricing discrepancy and if they will adjust or not.

Awesome place to stay. Would stay again.
