Aspen Hotel Rogers Formerly Americ inn

Not much to like. Expected a bit better.

I arrived and the reception was good , got my card and went to my room only to find that it was not cleaned. And by that I mean quite literally the cleaning crew had not cleaned it , down the fact that there was still urine in the toilet and the bed looked like someone was still staying there. I called and went back to the reception and they were shocked, but proceeded to tell me that they don’t think they have any other rooms available. After waiting until they called the owner they told me they found a room, went and it was at least clean but most of the lights didn’t work, the shower made an ungodly loud squeal the entire time I used it and the fridge didn’t work which probably means they didn’t plan on using the room at all but they were scrambling for a room to not lose business but I don’t like how I was just supposed to be okay with a subpar room. there was no apology, no offered discount to my stay , just overall not a great experience. I would have appreciated if they pulled me aside and just warned me the room wasn’t in perfect shape and offered to refund partial stay since I wasn’t their that long anyway. Won’t stay here again.

The rooms and property were clean and the room was comfortable.

The staff was difficult to find. There was rarely anyone at the front desk. When we did see them they were very pleasant and cordial.
