Village Inn & Suites

Nothing, we stayed there 6 years ago and nothing like it used to be.

Outside didn't look like the photos, looked like an abandoned building, lobby was not bright or clean, rooms were terrible, hot and dirty, was not inviting at all, broken table and dirty towels left on the coat rack, fridge didn't work, smelled like stale cigarette.....more then that was wrong.....and that was the first room, second room, air conditioner did not work and it was over 30 degrees outside, smelled bad...with my health condition could not stay in that motel, I would not recommend to anyone. Stayed there about 6 or 7 years ago and it was a beautiful motel I wanted to go back, not anymore! Now we haven't got our refund, and the owners are not responding to anything, we have been ghosted by them. Not how a business should be acting, overheard a conversation on the phone telling potential customer " all our rooms are nice"...

Very helpful staff! Nice complementary breakfast! New carpet on stairs and hallway would help the look!! Great flooring in room! Pleasant stay!!

Property was a basic clean simple hotel. Very quiet, we didn't see any other guests. The gal in charge of the restaurant and bar was nice enough to reopen the bar both nights we were there to pour us a night cap. Thanks again!!

Very good

The hotel is in a great location. Central point for getting around Sarnia. Easy in and out. The staff was friendly and check-in/out was easy. Breakfast was decent. The hotel could use some TLC. Carpets in hallways looked dingy and dirty. The floor in our room was dirty... Not lying visible with the dark plank flooring but barefeet and socks collected all the dirt and dust. Either the room didn't have ac or it wasn't working. With some love, renovations, and new updates, this hotel could be excellent.

The room was clean and neat. Curtains did not completely fit the window to block the light.

The air conditioning did not work in our room and it was a very hot/warm night. In the morning we were going to make in room coffee and the water reservoir in the coffee maker was disgusting, scum was floating on the top of the water. Very disappointing. Front receptionist was told about these two issues and I showed her a photo of the coffee maker.

Hotel smelled musty. Men’s Restroom next to closed hotel restaurant had 2 urinals out of order and 1 toilet missing. Smelled bad. Room air conditioner was not very cool.

Although we were after breakfast hours, the manager took us into the area and offered us coffee and anything still available. So a muffin or biscuit with juice or coffee were welcome to us as we eat very little in the mornings.

I use a cane and walking is difficult. I found the distance to our room a little far. At least no stairs.
