Extended Stay America Premier Suites - Oakland - Alameda

I needed to use the bathroom when I arrived, so after I received the keys I went to the room. When I reached for the bathroom door, the handle came off. I had to carefully place the handle on the stud to open the bathroom door. I took the handle to the front desk, and was given a new room. In the 2nd room, a previous occupant had cooked something with a strong aroma, and the aroma was present throughout our 2 day stay (keeping the window open to try to air it out). This aroma would have been obvious to the cleaning staff, yet it had not been addressed.

Nothing, I was rejected at the door never allowed to check in

That the person at the front desk was very unhelpful and unable to check me into my room or give me contact information to settle the issue. She just told me to leave with no refund

no coffee machine or shampoo in room, you have to go to the lobby

Location was excellent but the continental breakfast left something to be desired.. no coffees in room .. no hair dryer

Initially our first room was nice w/ a great waterfront view but the AC was making a noise, called the front desk, sent someone up and they said we could move rooms as they did not have a part for it. Second room was nice and had a great waterfront view
