"Not the Hilton I expected."

I normally do not leave negative reviews, but I feel like I need to share my experience. During my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Jacksonville, the room had a strong unpleasant odor that I reported to staff while I was there. The shower mat also had visible mildew on it, which was very concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. On top of that, I was bitten by something during my stay and was left with raised, red, itchy bites afterward. I took photos of the mildew and the bites and contacted Hilton about the situation on April 6th. I was told the matter would be investigated, but despite following up, I still have not received a response or resolution. What has been most disappointing is not only the condition of the room, but the lack of communication afterward. I expected better from a Hilton property.
