Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Nashville Smyrna

There was a smell. At first it seemed like a clean smell, but later it kinda burned my nose. It could have been the pool. The hot tub was out of service. The room was clean and beds were comfortable

Breakfast was good and the room was nice. One of the outlets didn't work, but it wasn't a problem. Hot tub was out of order which was a disappointment and would have liked to know upon check in as that was a big plus in booking. Hopefully it will be in operation upon future stays. Enjoyable and comfortable stay overall.

I cannot stress enough how nasty this hotel is. Let me start by saying the staff was very friendly so this is not a staff issue. The hotel itself is SO run down and beat. My room had stains on every surface and the carpet looked like it had NEVER been cleaned. All the metal surfaces in the bathroom had the finishes peeling off showing rough, rusty surfaces which was just dangerous. The shower had two temperatures- lava or ice cold. The lights had dead bugs in them. The breakfast offered was also disgusting with super watery eggs and microwaved sausage patties.... I could go on. Don't stay here unless they do a complete gut job of this place and get a kitchen with a stove so they can offer breakfast food that doesn't come out of a microwave.

Don't know what is wrong with the tub faucet but when pulling on the shower valve thing it nearly fell out of the wall. See photo of our "view" . Night clerk was nice, gave us extra towels upon arrival. Rollaway requested was there. The staff was generally nice. Breakfast was as expected for a budget hotel. That's why it gets a 2. Budget hotel, meets minimal expectations, Bonvoy member room, Marriott prices.

The Hotel is run down, the room was very dusty, lamp shade cracked, chargers not functional, and had mold on the bathroom ceiling. We had to wait at least 10 mins for someone to check us in. I would not recommend this hotel. Disappointing for a Fairfield which are usually great when traveling.
