Residence Inn Dallas DFW Airport North/Irving

I travel extensively for work, often spending long periods away from home. I’ve literally stayed well in excess of 100 hotels. This Residence Inn is definitely one of the top five hotels I’ve visited. It really is a wonderful place to stay. I’m working a very long project and this is the third hotel I’ve used since it began. I hope I can continue to stay here until the project is complete. The room is a spacious king with a nice living room area, a very nice long desk area, it has a great shower, and the kitchen area is well equipped with cookware and dinnerware . The room is extremely clean and the housekeeping staff does a great job with frequent trash pick up and towel changes. I believe they deep clean the room weekly. I can’t say enough good things about the staff at this hotel!!! They are all awesome! There is a language barrier with a few but they can quickly figure out whatever it is I need. J.W. Marriott said “ take care of your employees, and your employees will take care of your customers.” Well the owner or manager must be a very inspiring leader to have developed such a terrific set of people. The front desk staff includes Mario, Genesis and Kate. They are all top shelf and very customer focused. There are other staff members I’ve had less interaction with but they have been excellent as well. I’ve had a few unusual requests and they were able to cheerfully accommodate me. The breakfast here is one of the best I’ve seen. Tons of variety and everything is fresh and well presented. The fitness room is pretty nice and has all the essentials. I have not used the pool yet. The laundry machines work well. I haven’t mentioned it to the manager but a bar to hang clean clothes on would be nice. If you are traveling to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, you can’t go wrong with this hotel. I tend to be a bit finicky but have zero complaints so far with my 6 or 8 week stay. ,

I booked this for my parents when dropping them off at DFW. Spacious rooms, well-lit, comfortable beds, nice breakfast -- no complaints. Marriott is reliable for quality.

Very low quality, dreadful decor, not typical of Residence Inn, felt like a dungeon

This is not a 3 star hotel. The condition and quality is closer to a Motel 6. Everything is dirty and in disrepair. The rooms were not ready even after 5pm. We had to wait for over 20 minutes even though the place was half empty. The locks on the egress doors do not function. The rooms were likely last updated in the 1990s. The cabinets are falling apart the shower did not work. Stains all over the carpeting. A good amount of the exterior lighting is burned out. The flag is down at night but the lights are burned out The building is half painted. The carpeting is pulling up. There is mold under the sink.

I really enjoyed staying here at this property. The front desk staff treated me very well and they gave me all the information, including Wi-Fi and breakfast times as soon as I checked in. The rooms were also very clean and I couldn’t have asked for better. I was very comfortable at this property because everything was absolutely great.

Mario at the front desk was super helpful

My room lock was broken and the heater wouldn’t work. It was under 49 degrees outside. I told the front desk and they said the manager would call, nobody called me.
