Courtyard by Marriott Topeka

The hotel was very nice but I did smell a musty mold smell in the room and non gluten in the bistro and also maybe more furniture in the toilet space for clothing, glasses and it was such a large space I had no space for glasses being placed. But on the floor but other than that it was a nice bed luxurious.

Comfortable room. The included breakfast has a very limited menu...we selected the breakfast sandwich and it was good. Much prefer a buffet. Great restaurants in the area.

Toilet was running when got to room, I had to fix it, air vent in bathroom was very loud, and no pool, website showed pool

We enjoyed the convenience of the property; and stayed here overnight before. However, upon check-in, one room wreaked of marijuana / weed scent. It was clearly evident that the guest room adjacent to their room was marijuana-smoked filled. The hallway smelled like marijuana. We requested another room, and it was provided at the opposite end of the hall, which was clean and smelled fresh. Hotel staff was unable to accommodate a different room on the same floor for 2nd room so we kept the room located across the hall from the “marijuana” room. After a 9-hour drive, late night check-in, we were exhausted, sprayed our room to mask the marijuana scent, and endured the unusually dusty room with a “not so clean” bathroom with rusted fixtures. The staff person did apologize, but seemed aware and unaffected when we shared concerns.

Location was good. Lots of stores and restaurants right by.

First room they put me in, the tub was dirty, but when we came back to motel at 10 pm the lady all excited says " We can't let you go in your room,, You can't go up their right now." First thing I said was " Where are my dogs and what's going on? She said "oh your dogs are fine but we need to have you move into another room because the tubs leaking. Here we traveled all day, no air conditioning in our car with 3 dogs and we were burned out. But we did.. Originally we asked for a quiet room, in which wasn't to bad, but they moved us next to an ice machine, and we were woke up all night long! All 3 nights, no sleep. Also the room was very dark poor lighting.

They accomodated our last minute reservation with no problem and gave a helpful suggestion for a late night meal. Great srrvice
