De Vere Tortworth Court

We stayed here for 2 nights, 1 as a couple and 1 with my daughter, son in law and grandkids. Room was exemplary and had all that we needed. The grounds are amazing as is the rest of the hotel. We drank and ate in the Atrium bar and was looked after brilliantly by Narcisa who was so good and a credit to the hotel as was the young blond lady who I think was the bar manager. The first negative was that the staff at breakfast never removed any of the plates on both days once we had different dishes, which made it difficult as the table was full at times, the breakfast was excellent though. The other negative was that someone had added £40 worth of drinks to our room which was taken off after my wife had proof that we had payed on the night. Maybe something should be put in place to stop this as a lot of people would not check or wouldn’t question it. We will definitely return as it’s so relaxing and such a wonderful place. Narcisa, deserves another mention as she’s brilliant.

I stayed at Tortworth Court with my family for my daughter's wedding last weekend, what a fabulous historic place and what a lovely part of the country to visit. The whole event ran like clockwork, the knowledgeable staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. The food was excellent, the Orangery was the perfect venue and the grounds contributed to the wonderful photos. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities that were necessary for a relaxing stay. I am looking forward to visiting again and taking advantage of all the other facilities on offer. Thank you Tortworth

In your reply to reviews that are negative, you say let us know at the time if you have an issue. We did. We reported to reception that our sink is blocked. They said they’d sort it whilst we had dinner. Well it’s not sorted and it’s disgusting, as the drains are coming back up into the sink when we run water. And we are paying a small fortune for a suite. This is not acceptable for the price being charged.

We had been looking to stay in Tortworth Court for a while and finally booked it for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We stayed in a suite which is the most stunning room we have ever stayed in and were greeted with a lovely box of chocolates for our Anniversary, thanks to Alex and Paul for arranging this. We booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package and both dinner and breakfast were stunning, the dinner portions were extremely generous and the quality was excellent. Breakfast was buffet style and again the food quality was excellent. Whilst there were a few small issues during the stay (we were sent an email to say we could order breakfast room service at a charge but no mention of a cut off time, 10 minute queue for drinks at the bar after lunch, slow communication from the hotel prior to our stay resulting in a small, additional charge our end) this would not put us off staying again and the positives certainly outweighed the minor niggles. Well-recommended and will be staying again!

Me and my wife went here for our honeymoon. It was stunning! And the hotel (Paul was the staff member I think) upgraded us to a beautiful honeymoon suite as a surprise. It was a wonderful experience staying here with excellent service and the architecture makes one feel like you in a castle.

we got married here in September 2025. It was the best day of our life’s, Becky was our coordinator on the day and it went perfectly! Eve our wedding coordinator was brilliant as well and help us plan our special day. As soon as we saw the orangery we knew that’s where we were getting married! The Manor House & the grounds are also just as beautiful. Everyone commented on how lovely our wedding breakfast meal was! It was delicious, as well as our evening food pizza was perfect! The room we stayed in the night before and the night of the wedding was amazing! We stayed in the Kipling suite which was massive and amazing for getting ready in the morning with plenty of space! Thanks so much again 🥰

This is a lovely and comfortable hotel. Beautiful grounds. Helpful staff and relaxed atmosphere. Our room, on the ground floor, was a good size and quiet. Possibly the decor was a bit tired but nothing to worry about! Excellent shower. Plenty of free parking. Plenty of choice for brekkie. My two negative comments are that I'm surprised they only provided one bath towel and one hand towel and that the veggie burger was textured soya protein rather than, eg, a beany burger. As a life long vegetarian, I don't want fake meat!

Completely misleading and false advertising of prices. After looking at a number of De Vere Hotels for my daughters birthday, I was really happy to find this one. With a party of 5 adults and 2 children, I tried to book 3 rooms and no matter how many variations I tried it wouldn't let me check out. I called to resolve thinking I was doing something wrong to be quoted pretty much double the price on every room even if it was just 2 adults in a double.

Fabulous stay. The staff were without exception friendly, helpful and professional. I organised a small event and the team were fabulous including Casey who helped facilitate the event and Sam who served the afternoon tea at our event.

Fabulous hotel and facilities especially the Spa, thanks to Lois and Coco for their magic hands! Food excellent and staff lovely throughout.
