"Satisfactory but not overwhelming"

The location was perfect for the start of the South Downs Way.

We had to move out of the lounge area as it had been let out as a meeting room therefore the bar wasn't really big enough to accommodate all guests.

The location was ideal for the centre of Winchester.

The room was 'tatty' old and in need of refurbishment. The bed was uncomfortable due to the matress being lumpy. The telephone in the room didn't work and I was advised maintenance would come and fix it, they didn't come.....

"The hotel & staff were fabulous, I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Winchester"

The hotel is ideally suited to explore the city & is a really lovely building. Breakfast was delicious, a good selection of both cooked food & cereals etc

I would have liked a greater range of herbal/fruit teas & maybe an ice bath for the milk jug so the milk on my cereal was cold.
