Blue Water Resort

We checked in early which was a fantastic surprise! We were able to get settled and enjoy the whole afternoon at the pool. There are fun kids activities (some better than others lol) daily like magician, animal visit, etc. We were a bit disappointed in the room due to the size. I booked the 2 bedroom thinking it would be spacious but it was choppy , ceilings low, and the main area was tight. However it was clean and modern!! And had a nice deck. Alot of the doors were faulty though and lighting was bad, nothing major. Our big problem was the AC, its in LR and not bedrooms so we were so hot sleeping. Please put AC In bedrooms!! Do note that housekeeping doesnt clean or make the beds, they just take out garbage and give towels - weird. Beach access is amazinggggg, clean sand and water and swing for kiddos. Pools were perfect too and great option to have the indoor pool for rainy days. Unfortunately they really need to improve the “restaurants” , food options/quality, and pricing. We spent over $55 on lunch by the pool for friend foods that werent great. The Deck is just grab and go junk and Jonahs den is dead , probably due to the food quality. If they had a nice restaurant it would make a big difference!! The resort was oddly quiet, not sure why. The staff was mostly kind and helpful, some were abrupt. Also they made us close the umbrellas on the beach and by pool one day which was unnecessary- we got burnt. The location was excellent, right near mini golfs and restaurants. The grounds are also gorgeous and well maintained. Overall if they fix some kinks , AC and food situation it would be 10 out of 10!

We enjoyed our long weekend. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Nice location with restaurants and mini golf in the area. Our room was a king and a queen bed. It was clean. Check in was easy and they were pleasant. The grounds has lots of flowers and well taken care of. The beach is nice with chairs and umbrellas with lots of space. We were up early and on the beach. Many chairs were being held with towels. However disappointing non guests are allowed to use beach chairs and amenities. It made for parking challenges with anyone free to park in lots. We came back from lunch one day and asked the attendant where to park. She told us to go find public parking. We saw many people coming from public area or parking in resort spaces and walking up to beach and taking chairs or bringing their own. Then taking their own beach chairs and parking them right in front of loungers or guests of the resort. I thought that was strange to be allowed. We saw this each day. But for guests you get wrist band when checking in. Not sure why since they allow anyone to use amenities. Locals know this as we heard others talking about it. Needs to be remedied. Overall enjoyed our stay and hope things will be fixed for next time.

It’s getting too expensive for the average family. I paid 20% gratuity on two bottled sprite and a donut. Never made my bed and the oool bar used to be open later. Now it closes at 8pm that’s crazy.. big resort fees and little entertainment

Resort is great overall. The beach is beautiful. Staff is always attentive, helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to fulfill special requests if possible as well. Our only complaints were about the recent “upgrades”. Many of the rooms now have a set of bunk beds squeezed into the same space that used to be a regular room. The remaining space is extremely small and cramped. Rooms no longer have nightstands on either side of the bed. Only 1 is provided, meaning the other person has to find another place to keep personal items. Another big drawback is the lack of proper refrigerators. The coolers provided are wine fridges and they only reach 12 C or 54 F. This temp is not safe for cold food storage. No freezer compartment either. We used to eat lunch on the beach from the snack bar. They used to serve a nice variety of hot and cold items, including lobster rolls. Now all they serve are tacos and a couple of children’s meals. The pub used to be a full service restaurant. Now it’s limited breakfast, and pizza for lunch or dinner. We didn’t eat at the resort at all because of the poor food selections available. One additional issue was regarding beach chairs and umbrellas. There should be sufficient quantities for resort guests. But on the weekends, they run out. We see dozens of people cutting across the far parking lot to come use the resort beach. That’s fine, but please reserve chairs and umbrellas for resort guests only. That’s what the wristbands are for. We also saw someone ask a staff member to set up 20 chairs for their friends for the next day, if he gave the staff member a tip. The staff pocketed the tip and the next day, the 20 friends started arriving from other locations. Staff should limit the number of chairs based on the number of people in each room, and check wristbands. Or have sufficient chairs and umbrellas for everyone using the beach.

Location! We had our choice of beach, outdoor pool or indoor pool. We didn’t have to bring a beach chair or beach towels or umbrella. They provided all of that. Snack shack by the beach and pool was great. Room renovations are great for the space! Being able to use the other sister resorts is a huge You can’t beat the location for the money. You can park your car and not really have to leave for much. It’s all right there.

The wait at the four beaches snack shack. There was three people working there. And it was really busy because of the holiday. The staff that was on wasn’t there strongest. A couple of times they just stopped and starting talking to people or wouldn’t recognize the next person in line and serve someone else. They need strong servers/bartenders out there. It would have been really great to have poolside or beach servers like they have had in the past.

Very good for families and kids

It was good for a two-night stay. It was clean and staff was friendly.
