Blue Water Resort

Resort rooms were a good size and clean, grounds were well kept-beautiful flowers and vast landscaping. Beach Bar and Jonah’s Pub on site were convenient and tasty menu. Beach was beautiful- plenty of space, soft white sand and warm ocean!!!

Another great visit for our family, the 8th summer in a row! The house that we stayed in is perfect for us, with plenty of space and a full kitchen for family meals. We love the pools, the gorgeous private beach, and the beautifully updated beach house. We enjoy the convenience of having towels and beach umbrellas provided, and the front desk responds immediately to every question and request. The kids enjoyed many of the activities provided, including the magic show and the peek-a-zoo. It is the perfect vacation spot for us, we look forward to it every summer!

My room was spacious with a fully renovated bathroom. It was quiet and only steps away from the pool and beach. Blue Water Resort was centrally located and within easy driving distance to all the towns I wanted to visit. I had no trouble finding places to eat nearby. My only complaint was difficulty accessing WI-FI on my laptop and phone. I would definitely visit again!

The beach is pretty and that’s it! First it’s a 4 o’clock check in and my room was ready at 4 o’clock. Entering my ocean view room the hallway smelt and was very dirty. Upon entering a small room I was disappointed. The bathroom was small and smelt like urine. The queen bed looked nice but the sheets were rough and the bed was uncomfortable. The air conditioner worked well but it sounded like a tanker truck was plowing into the wall all night. The beach bar is ok be aware the 20% tip is included and drinks are average. Beach bar food menu is very limited and food is less than fair. I didn’t eat at Jonah’s restaurant located on site but I heard the food is not good. The resort has the nerve to charge 25 dollars a night for parking on site. I guess 450 dollars plus tax and resort fees are not enough they need to squeeze 25 extra a night. I’ve been to the Blue Water Resort before many years ago and this place went down hill. Just my opinion but I hope to save someone a few dollars. Look around before booking. I’ll give it one to two stars and that’s only for the ocean. P.S lounge chairs are ripping and towels are old.

I like it that i got bracelets eralier than 1pm so we enjoyed the amenities before our check in. By the time we hot our room we even had an umbrella and chairs in front of the water and kids were swimming. could

This was our first time visiting Cape Cod and we will definitely go back to the area in the future. As it was our first time going, I’m rating this hotel as “average” comparing to my other vacation stays in general. I cannot compare it to other hotels in the Cape Cod area so perhaps my rating is too harsh or maybe too lenient, I’m not sure. Pros: - Beach and beach access; incredibly convenient and beautiful beach access. Chairs and umbrellas included which was a plus. Manicured sand and no sea weed on the beach unlike parts of the beach directly next to us. HUGE plus. - Beautiful views from the beach bar and bear seating along the deck. You can’t beat this. - Towels included (unless they ran out). - The food they offered was very good. - My kids loved the “arcade” room which was free and offered 5 or so vintage arcade games. - Staff was smiling and kind. - Beach decor felt welcoming and rooms seem updated. - Rooms were swept for sand and towels were changed out everyday. Cons: - Limited coffee service and food service at each property. You would have to flip flop where you went for a meal or snack or cup of coffee. - Staff was kind, however it was very difficult to get an answer from anyone. Seemed like they didn’t know much about where things were or the activities that were happening which was frustrating at times. Also, there was a beautiful espresso machine but the staff had a hard time operating it… for $7 I want a good cup of coffee. That was disappointing to say the least. - Indoor and outdoor pool facilities are in need of repair. They are definitely doable for the kids as they did not mind, but it was apparent a major renovation is needed. - Rooms looked like they have been updated, but the carpets in the hallways are super disgusting and there was a definite smell of mold or mildew everywhere. Hopefully this is next on their list next to the pools. - We were most disappointed with the lack of a “kids club” which was advertised when we booked but did not actually exist when we got there. They had activities for kids but the online list and the list that was texted out in the morning were different. We had a hard time finding certain activities and no one seemed to be able to help us. Again, my review is comparing this to other resorts we have stayed out. I would not classify this as a resort, but more so a hotel with decent amenities and a beautiful beach. If it was not for the beach we would be incredibly disappointed. My biggest complaint is that the staff was not trained on how to help with any questions. They did their job and that was that. I attempted to itemize my bill with the front desk and was told they could not help me then but to come back in the morning. When I came back in the morning they told me they couldn’t help and I’d have to wait for a manager. Unfortunately we were leaving and I could not wait. For this reason I would not choose to go back to this hotel at this time. Maybe if they trained their staff and had more managers on duty with clear amenities I would possibly consider. Overall I would not tell someone not to stay here, but know what you’re getting into. If you want the beach and “hands off” service, you will enjoy your time here.

First trip to the Cape. First off, there was no dresser in the room! Family of 5 and I had to rummage through a suitcase every time someone needed something! Didn’t realize how much I’d miss a dresser until there wasn’t one. The private beachfront was nice, chairs provided as well as umbrellas, only if there’s no breeze though! Was slightly windy and we couldn’t get an umbrella, so we baked in the sun! Not a lot of amenities, like the website said volleyball, there was none. They are under the same parent company as the Riviera a few doors down, so while they share access, it’s not convenient. I feel like it was overpriced for what you get, but I guess the cape in the summer is pricey anyways. Would stay again, but only during the week. Weekend was already quite busy and ran out of room for parking quickly on a Thursday evening.

I was very disappointed in the blu water our room for starters has no table or chairs to sit in. No chairs outside room, bar closes at 8 pm what??? Ridiculous. Crap food at the beach bar for kids only. Prices are outrageous for a basically glorified motel. Got charged an additional 150.00 to my card after paying already over 1500, I would not return.

Just okay
