Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel

I booked a room at the Renaissance Downtown Pittsburgh six months in advance specifically for my wedding night, and the experience was nothing short of terrible. There was zero customer service from the moment we arrived. The AC didn’t work, the room was worn down, there was no coffee, and the blinds were broken and ripped. For a hotel charging over $800 for one night, this is unacceptable. Despite noting that it was our wedding night, the front desk didn’t acknowledge it in any way—not even basic courtesy. Nothing was made special, nothing was offered, and no one seemed to care. This stay felt like one big, giant ripoff—not worth a single penny. I want to warn others to stay away, because the experience here falls far below expectations.

Ritwika and Ravi and Prasad were excellent and made our breakfast a pleasant experience. Our stay was very comfortable and every staff member was very accommodating, very attentive and super nice.

Expensive but beautiful. Getting remodeled so no formal restaurant rooms are in sight decline. Our curve room had a dripping faucet, shower rod falling down and several small details in bad shape for the price. Third time staying here, staff is always friendly, I suspect after the renovations I'll give it 5 starts again.

Absolutely disgusting hotel. Refrigerator in room was broken, the curtains were broken and hanging and torn. They said they were sorry and offered me a free breakfast and said they had no other rooms. They also said no worries. The building next to you is vacant so no one will be able to see inside your room. What the heck?! Loud construction when you walk into the lobby all day long not a clean building not clean room rooms such a disappointment…. Go to the Kimpton it blows this place out of the water.!

Not very nice area; didn’t feel safe letting my wife go outside by herself after dark. Bed was broken.
