Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel

A old and classy hotel right off Clemente Bridge, so a great location for attending a game. That said, the rooms are small, the weekend prices are through the roof, the WiFi is spotty at best, the restaurant is closed so really poor food options in the hotel, parking is super expensive and not very convenient, they only have 3 (old and slow) elevators, no concierge service (front desk staff are not super helpful with recommendations or anything) and late night security is pretty much non existent. If you want a nice, downtown, close to everything hotel try a different one. Maybe the Omni William Penn? We have had good experiences there (and this time wanted to try something different - big error on our part).

Great location.

Beautiful property especially the main entrance. BUT it is currently being renovated so it sort of takes away from the grandness of the old property. Maybe they should advise potential folks it is undergoing a facelift.

Hotel is dated, lobby decor is odd and doesn’t fit the rest of the hotel, restaurant was also dated and dark with below average service. Was a good location if going to a baseball or football game. Needs a face lift. Could be a really cool hotel.

My stay was great! Room service in the evening was not as advertised but was able to go down to bar and bring up my own food.

Will definitely be back!
