Taj Bentota Resort & Spa

Have just returned from 10 nights at the hotel. The hotel is lovely and all the staff were amazing, friendly and extremely attentive, with nothing too much trouble for them. It was a such shame about the refurbishment of the main restaurant, otherwise it would have been 5 stars, but as this is due to completed over the next couple of days it won’t cause a problem to others. Very special thanks to Sam and Asirl in the main restaurant who were so attentive and lovely/genuine people. Also a special thank you to Rukmal who did an amazing job cleaning our room and surprising us daily with his towel creations, the best being a 5 foot crocodile! We will be back

I loved my stay, the property is beautiful. The activities are so cute that brings all guests together. I loved my room as it straight led me to the beach 🤩 The staff is so friendly and caring. As a solo traveller I loved my time at Taj bentota. Regards, Aarya

Highly recommend the hotel for good Indian food. Chef Jasvir Singh was amazing. Loved the food. Would recommend samosa chat, dal makhni and gol gappe.

Had an amazing experience at Taj Bentota specially because of food Chef Jasvir Singh has been enormously helpful in providing us with the best dishes aligned to our food buds. The taste was exceptional. Highly recommend the hotel for good Indian food

Beautiful location at the superb Bentota beach .. very hospitable staff and great facilities. Can explore turtle sanctuary and galle fort with the property itself 1.5hr drive from Colombo airport. Good choice for a family/group vacation

Wonderful stay in room overlooking Indian Ocean. All the staff were welcoming, polite, friendly & helpful. Although part of the hotel was closed for renovations, we didn’t experience any adverse problems. We enjoyed resting by the large pool & eating fresh fish in The Shack most evenings. A thoroughly restful, rejuvenating stay.

just came back from Taj Bentota resort Sri Lanka. What a treat, miles of golden sand pristine beach. Best bit is the stay at the hotel. Great service. Everyone greets you with a smile, and nothing is too much trouble for them. Everyone is helpful. Tremendous variety of food. They cater for every taste. We were looked after by executive chef Dilip. He took care of all dietary requirements. despite having enormous choice of dishes, he made us anything else we requested. Apart from being extra helpful he is also an excellent chef. Great tasting dishes he conjured up for us. You have our sincere thanks. If you are looking for beach holiday where you will be treated to great service and food then ook no further than Taj. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable stay at Taj Bentota Resort & Spa Our stay at Taj Bentota was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and spotless, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. Everything was organized at the highest level. The level of service truly exceeded all expectations. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and always smiling. We would like to give special thanks to Sam and Jack, who made our stay even more exceptional with their care, attention, and warm hospitality. Every detail was taken care of, and we felt truly welcomed and pampered throughout our stay. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would love to come back again.

We have just spent a fantastic week at the Taj Bentota, and will definitely return in the future. The location is fabulous with great views, beach access from 3 different points and also not too far from local restaurants, the bank and shops. The long strip of beach has endless clean, soft powdery sand. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished sea view rooms, which was spacious, well laid out, bright and airy with a good sized balcony. The room was kept clean and well stocked by Rukmal, and his daily towel and flower creations made us smile, especially the monkey. There was a good variety of food to suit all tastes in the buffet both for breakfast and evening dinner. Indian specialty chef Dalip Singh made the stay extra special by making us some very tasty dishes that weren’t in the buffet, especially the methi murgh and garlic and coriander naan. He also maintained a regular supply of freshly made puris and aloo paratha which were both made to perfection. All the waiting staff were great, and always happy to help, especially Harith, Asiri, Dilshan and all the others whose name I can’t remember. We visited the Shack twice during our stay, and Manchanayeka and his team prepared and served us some very tasty varieties of fish. There were adequate loungers by the pool, which had a good calm atmosphere the benefit of no loud blaring music. Pool attendant Sampath was great, and had our loungers set up with the cushions and towels quickly everytime. The reception staff were very courteous and helpful, with a smooth check in process, and the duty manager also allowed us to extend our checkout time by 3 hours, which made a big difference to our last morning. The gym was clean, and had adequate equipment for a quick daily workout, and the staff were always helpful with advice and tips. Thank you Taj Bentota for a memorable stay.

Had a wonderful stay at Taj Bentota. The resort is directly connected with Bentota Beach and offers a beautiful view. The Palms Restaurant is the best. Chef Dalip Singh is the best. He cooked the best ever Dal Khichdi and Gajar ka Halwa for us that we ever had. Staff Ravindra in the restaurant was very polite and courteous with his service. Truly enjoyed the Taj Hospitality during our stay.
