Royal On The Park

The position next to the botanical gardens and riverside was perfect for exploring the city. The property had character which many modern places do not have. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The property & decor felt a little tired, but was perfectly fine for a 1 night stay.

meals available for room service could have been better. bread was quite hard.

Service from front of house staff was exceptional. We were lucky enough to be able to check in early after a midnight flight due to our room being ready. This was greatly appreciated and was unexpected. A fantastic start to our holiday!

Only negative was non delivery of a room service order which we chased up after 40mins of waiting, this was late at night. The hospitality team acknowledged the missed order by staff, they allowed us to cancel order would have been too late to eat by that stage.

Very good location near the Botanic Gardens. The room was very comfortable & spacious. On site undercover parking. Friendly & helpful staff. The buffet breakfast was very good.

the shower kept dropping down and made it hard to shower

Really my only concern is the bath was a little too high for me to get out of. Even though there were some grab rails they were not really in the correct position and I felt un-safe
