We really enjoyed our stay at Barcelo. The room was very comfortable. We enjoyed our reservation restaurant dinners and the Main Palm buffet was outstanding! Special Thank you to Fray for the Best waiter service. All staff here were great.

All inclusive properties are known not to be exceptional, but this one was exceptionally bad. The entire place needs renovation, including the grounds, the rooms, the lobby, the elevators - everything. Also do not pay for the royal level. There basically are no benefits, except room service, which is not available to non-royal level guests and the premium bar of which there is only one in a remote area of the beach with only one server working.

Good location, warm and friendly staff especially Ruth (The Palm) and Melizza (front desk). Amaaaaazing bed.

For the price, we didn’t think it was worth it. Plus you have to make reservations to have dinner at the restaurants which can’t accommodate half of the amount of guests.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel and from the start we felt as we where not prioritized, as much as other hotel guests, maybe because we didn’t do a whole week 😢 in our opinion it is a worn down hotel, either cracked tiles and gaffa tape repairs 😳 we will though give great praise to the staff on the floor except the ones working in the reception desks. The restaurants (Mexican and Japanes) was vety good, our waiter Rondell at the Mexican was very attentive. The beach was nice, but you have to pay for parasol? The water was cloudy 😳 not at all as on Curaçao and Bonaire.
