"The Royal Stay at Bissau Palace"

9.0

It was like staying in a real heritage site. The staff was cooperative and courteous. Every corner took you back in the pre independence era. Loved it. Mr. Bhanu (the owner) was a good host. The royal decor was amazing. We stayed for only 1 night and now will come back with our parents to stay for 3 - 4 nights. Loved the sitting area with library.

The approach to the hotel. Washroom water flow. Absence of gym. Though it's not their fault, the food option was limited due to unavailability of LPG cylinders.

"Hotel has potential but badly managed & in disrepair."

3.0

Very quirky place with lots of history. Gardens were immaculate. Mukesh who ran the onsite boutique was amazing - took us on a heritage tour, helped us with taxis & got us jewellery made to order.

Booked a balcony suite with garden view & walk in shower. We got a single room with no balcony (none of the rooms actually have balconies but a walkway outside the main bedroom door) & a bath ! Bathrooms were very poorly maintained, staff only accessible via ringing a bell, table cloths stained, pool unhygienic & in need of maintenance. Electrical switches buzzed when touched & felt unsafe & air conditioning clanked all night. Breakfast was included but this was the only hotel of 6 of our whole trip where we declined it. We stayed 5 nights but no towel change & no safe, fridge or hairdryer as advertised.

"Blessed at Bissau Palace:)"

10.0

This hotel should also be considered a historical site as there are many museum, quality paintings, books, various works of art, historical, cultural, antiques, antique jewelry, furniture, and more. For an art lover like myself it was like being immersed in India in the 1920s. Now, all of that being said what I loved about the hotel is that Since it’s a smaller hotel service was prompt and very helpful. The people are very kind who are employed in this hotel from the gardeners to the office as a solo traveler I also happen to find it very easy to meet people in the garden area during breakfast.

Nothing that I didn’t like, there was a couple of nearby weddings during my stay and the fireworks were incredibly loud, but that has nothing to do with the hotel that is just Indian culture.

Old world charm. Homely. Great service.

Not in a great part of Jaipur but easy to get a tuktuk to where you want.

"Shabby but worth it for the character"

8.0

The hotel is like a museum. Incredibly opulent downstairs rooms with so much to look at. Very characterful. The location is quite central. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was fairly good. We had an excellent Indian evening meal and a very good pasta lunch. Staff were very helpful.

The bathroom really let the room down. It’s in dire need of upgrading. The shower was barely high enough to stand under and the whole bathroom room was shabby. The pool didn’t look very enticing, needed cleaning and lots of cracked tiles around. You definitely need earplugs to sleep

"Relaxing stay while on work. Peaceful and charming. None of the "officiousness" of a modern hotel."

9.0

An oasis of old world charm in old Jaipur. Location not the best, somewhat congested road getting there, but sometimes its nice to have daily activity going on outside and be able to retreat to serene calmness inside. Room very spacious. On call massage was fabulous, in their massage/spa room. They have a swimming pool too. Amazing interior decor in the hotel common area, though a little uplift is not a bad idea.

The bed mattress was way too soft. They need to upgrade mattress to the standards offered in most new hotels.
