Bissau Palace

The ambience and the hotel was beautiful, nice heritage property.

The beds were not comfortable, had something which was causing itching, maybe the mattress.The washroom washrooms were not very clean.

Very accommodating! When we were unhappy with a strong smell seeping into room (due to paintwork). They gave us a choice of rooms, they are all different in size's and facilities. We ended up on the lower ground in the courtyard, which was very quiet! Comfortable beds! Nice bedlinen and choice of pillows!! This hotel is a gem but needs a lot of tender care! They serve really nice food, and a good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

All the bathrooms we saw needed some kind of updating. In the room we ended up in, there was a lack of really warm water. All the towels were old, discoloured and some even a bit of damp smelling.Got new ones every day because of this.

Kudos to the entire team for maintaining this property so well :) The atmosphere and aesthetic of this heritage place are great! The garden at the entrance and area around it gives calm vibes and good to walk around it when needed. There is a small temple as well as soon as you enter. Vintage car near reception gives a nostalgic feeling! The people at the reception and restaurant were too kind. Food was very fresh and delicious and mild spiced which we liked very much! Room was lovely and it gives very raw authentic look and feel. I felt that i am living in a Maharaja's room. Bed was way too comfy! Location is great overall it is great value for money!

Bathroom needs an upgrade we really struggled with the bath. Also could hear the sound from outside due to the exhaust fan opening in the wall. Room is too dark. Need some bright lights! Hair dryer was missing in each room. Although we called at the reception and they provided quickly.

Fabulous building in a haven from the city. All the grandeur of its byegone past as a palace.
