Le Calette Bay

Hi ,I’m not one to write reviews but here we go .We originally booked our trip 9 months prior via expedia .About a month before we arrived we lost our babysitter and had to bring our 8 year old son .We tried to update another person on the app but we would have had to cancel and rebook at a much higher rate .We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights .THey charged us 1000 euro extra for our son which was the same rate we paid for 2 adults for 2 nights .He didn’t even have his own bed .They put a blanket on the couch for him .All other hotels charged us 70 euro per night for the extra person .The people at the front desk were rude and not helpful .Reef club was beautiful and so was the staff .One sink in the room did not work and wasn’t up to our expectations given the price .Also .the only hotel without an iron and charged us 50 euro to iron 2 shirts and a pair of pants .We are not cheap people but we feel completely ripped off.Also they charged our card before we even checked it without my approval .We would have had to wait for hours for there shuttle into town and we had to pay 30 euro for taxi every time going into town or to the beach .I feel we ripped off for the extra child .Do not stay here please .You will see what i mean about the front desk staff .It was an uncomfortable stay and the AC was terrible.

L’emplacement est exceptionnel, les chambres sont très agréable, avec une belle vue sur la mer (pour la plupart il me semble), le personnel de la réception est très serviable et attentif, le petit-déjeuner est excellent, belle salle de sport, 20mn à pied du centre de Cefalu

Dès qu’il y a du vent tous les parasols de la piscine et de la plage sont fermés, ce qui rend quasi impossible de s’y installer car il n’y a aucun transat à l’ombre (et ce qui semble fréquent, c’est arrivé 2 jours sur les 3 passés dans l’hôtel en ce qui nous concerne). Et le personnel de la plage refuse que l’on bouge les transats pour les mettre à l’ombre… Le système de réservation pour la salle de sport est contraignant (nécessité de prévoir à minima 1 jour avant son créneau)

excellent service from all staff, nothing was too much trouble. very very clean, beautiful pool and we also had great spa treatments which felt luxurious. Would highly recommend

Breakfast was great - food very fresh and baked goods were amazing. All the staff are really friendly and approachable. Gym was great too.

I think the pool/beach club area could use some music

The hotel is in a lovely setting . The weather was amazing - and having both the sea and a pool was great . However there was a downside ….. The breakfast was lovely - the setting and the choice of food . However - there is a fairly limited choice of evening food- it is either fine dining- or basic snack food by the pool - salads, burger, sandwiches & fries . However , while I am aware this is not an adult only hotel - my main issue was that it is most definitely a wedding hotel - and while we were there - there were three large weddings - with large groups of family and friends - and as we were just a couple- this felt quite exclusive and somewhat intimidating. I just feel it would have been nice to have known this in advance - so we knew what to expect.
