Days Inn by Wyndham LaPlace- New Orleans

I was a bit skeptical at first but turned out to be an awesome stay. Very quiet and nicely kept. Staff was very nice and attentive. I’ll refer them as often as I can.

Property is old and some work done. Definitely remodeling.

There was mildew on the shower curtain and I had to request it be changed. The breakfast bar was not stocked like it should have been. My husband had to request the oatmeal. On day five we we're told they only had what was out. The fruit was not fresh and this was also brought from another room. We we're awakened at 3:00 M by someone trying to enter our room as they had assigned it to another guest. There was water damage around the window sill. Housekeeping did not come on two of the days. One day was Mother's Day and they wanted to give them time off. This was not a $90+ dollar a night facility.

Definitely NOT worth the price. I did not have high expectations for a Days Inn but this one was really BAD for what they charged! When I received my confirmation email it showed I preferred smoking rooms. I did not want rooms with smoke stench so I called the hotel to change it to non smoking rooms. I spoke with someone named Brittany and she informed me the choice of smoking was made because it was booked through hotels.com and I could request non smoking at check in. The young lady at the desk at check in was very nice but informed me there were no non smoking rooms available. The entire floor was a smoking floor and the smokey smell overwhelms you as soon as you step off the elevator. The next morning there was even a smell of marijuana smoke in th hallway. The hotel is older and not very well kept so I feel their rates should be much lower to match the quality of the facility.
