The Porches Inn at Mass MoCA

Hands down the best place to stay in North Adams, everything from the decor to the grounds are thoughtful and tasteful and unique. Staff is super friendly, rooms are comfortable. Centrally located to everything and the pool/hot tub/sauna is a great plus. The new Saturday yoga class was amazing and added alot to the experience. My only complaint is the food. It felt like the spread at a cheap holiday inn. The fruit wasn't ripe, the eggs were inedible, the selection was lame; I remember when the breakfasts were a bit part of the draw; for the expense I would have expected a better food experience.

Perfect for our needs

Beautiful boutique hotel with great service. Room was well appointed and very comfortable on a hot june day. AC worked great, loved the claw foot bathtub in the large bathroom as well. Room has a mini bar and you can request certain items ahead of time. I requested a bottle of champagne online when I made the reservation and it was waiting on ice when I entered the room. Front desk also has a small bar where you can get drinks. The pool and hot tub area is very nice. I took a dip in the hot tub both nights I was here. Breakfast is included and is buffet style. There was hot eggs and potatoes, then an assortment of breads, bagels, croissants with various toppings. Also some cereal, yogurt, and fruit. Theres not a full hot breakfast but it’s enough to keep you full and kickstart your day. The inn has a historic feel both in the architecture and the decor. I was worried it might feel a little dated but that was certainly not the case. It’s walking distance to the museum and the popular restaurants in town. Can’t recommend this place enough if you’re heading into North Adams to visit Mass Moca.

The location is beautiful and the row houses are adorable. The breakfast was even better than I anticipated. Every staff member was friendly and kind. The location is on a main road in & out of town so very convenient to lots of other amenities and easy to find when driving in.

Charming, historical and super comfortable accommodations. While we explored the area and museums we could have spent our time there just on grounds. Used the fitness room, the pool and hot tub and enjoyed the serenity of the beautifully designed outdoor spaces. Overall, lovely place to celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely be back.

Such a cool place. Impeccably maintained, fun design choices, super comfy bed. Convenient to restaurants and museums and hiking trails. What a trifecta. I have never seen a free breakfast as nice as this one was. Nice that they have weekday rates- makes it possible to go back.
