Carlton Hotel Lyon - MGallery Collection

I took the "comfort" room, and it is quite small. But it worked for me as a solo traveler, and the walk-in shower was great. (However, if you need a desk for your laptop, choose a large room.) The bed was quite comfortable, and the A/C was virtually silent and effective even when the temperatures hit 28C. In fact, all the tech conveniences worked, including a gloriously antique and charming elevator. But it is the staff that makes me want to return. The concierge staff I dealt with before and during my stay (thank you Mme. Heinz and M. Masson) booked restaurants and forwarded requests for credit card imprints and inquiries about allergies with great dispatch. Other staff helped me with luggage, procured a chair when I needed it, and were just plain friendly.
