Great staff. Good accommodations for the price.

The staff is super friendly and the cafe next door to the hotel is fantastic! They do their own roasting and baking. The rooms are outdated and will undergo renovations soon, according to the owner. One major concern: the towels in the bathroom. The towels were grimy and should have been replaced. Otherwise, can't wait to return after the renovation takes place.

Classic old motel. Good condition, clean, good value. Not luxury, but who needs luxury?!

Playing hide and seek with cattails to find my room. Creative ways used to "fix" things. Ice machine worked

Looks as tho nothing has been changed or updated since (maybe?) the 70s. Hey..Retro is cool, but there's a difference between Retro and Junkyard. Bathtub doesn't appear to have been cleaned since George Washington (?) had stayed there. The sink was interesting. Deep scratches that looked like the old gray mare trimmed his hair in it. It was then "repaired" with what appears to be clear resin, thus sealing that barbershop feel forever. Toilet not much better. Stains on walls, remnants of a dog or raccoon trying to feverishly scratch his way out of the bathroom. TV went out in the middle of the NFL season opener. Reset the modem to no avail. Wifi: Watched many episodes of "BUFFERING." Wifi disconnected continuously through the evening. Crowning touch was the smoke detector chirping constantly. Battery dead. We removed the battery and replaced it in the am. $100+ per night off season. You gotta do better.

Location, one level- easy loading/unloading & parking, pool, pet friendly, comp breakfast next door

Older finishes, small beds, AC on and off constantly, no toilet paper other than 1 partial roll

Had to buy cleaner and plunger to clean the bathroom. Plunger not supplied. Needs serious renovation in the room. Very outdated, musty smell, needs paint and new tub. Tub was spongey to step into, maybe a leak underneath. Some type of glue on inside. Sink needs a trap as there were drain gnats. Limited rolls of toiletpaper. Needs carpet deep cleaned and corners vaccumed. May need some new elecrrical wiring as when ac came on there was a surge in the room. Staff was very nice and we liked the glowing stars on the ceiling.. Wifi is sketchy. Air conditioner is old and vents were broken. Had to wipe them down with bleach wipe. For the price we paid, expected better. Recommend staff but not the room.

Great location but the property does show age and needs an upgrade. Great price though for convenience and location.

Location is perfect! Liked the pool. The groundskeeper, Wayne was great to chat with, very friendly. Liked the chairs on the walkway in front of the rooms for relaxing. Easy to check in and out. Appreciated the voucher for coffee and pastry at the cafe next door

Unpleasant dank odor in the room. Carpet frayed in areas, wood missing from the bathroom door. Generally the room was in a state of disrepair, very outdated. I was charged $25 after I left the property for a dirty towel.
