The Westwood

VERY basic accommodations-- only 2 towels provided and not even any toiletries whatsoever (other than a tiny bar of soap). Even to get a hair dryer, we had to pick it up at the front desk. The place is pretty new, but so everything was in good shape. I will I would not complain except that in all the hotels we stayed at during our 11 day trip throughout Ireland, this was the most expensive, yet the least to offer. I understand that the prices were jacked up because of the horse races going on the week we were in Galway but as one of the locals I was talked to on a bus, I was it was inexcusable to charge so much. Even she was shocked and disgusted when I told her how much we paid.

We knew it was summer housing with limited facilities. No surprise there. Housing was clean. But students made lot of noise outside our room both nights we were there. Laundry is about 10 euros. Bus to city is twice in a hour.

A nice place to stay for budget friendly traveling, but there is no A/C and no fans which made it very uncomfortable for a few nights during the summer. Otherwise it was nice, clean, and comfortable.

Amazing property but 10 min drive to downtown area.

Clean and modern space. Lots of great amenities in the building. A bit of distance from city centre but there is a bus stop only a 5 minute walk away.

The parking on-site seriously needs to be looked at. I understand you have limited spaces however, I came back to the site late at night as I was told to park somewhere else and walk back in the rain. In the meantime I paid for parking yet I had to walk with luggage in the rain to the site. The room was clean and the site however, the parking needs to be looked at. Other tenants I observed arguing also over the parking situation so I believe in the interest of the business you look into this.

It was a great place to stay. Everyone was friendly, helpful and fabulous. I would definitely recommend it.

Clean and surprisingly spacious room and free parking a short walk away. However Wifi very glitchy and the room was just too hot. The wall thermostat said 24C much of the time and we couldn't open the window as the nearby road was very busy and noisy. The staff were lovely though and have a fan which helped a little but we slept poorly.
