Novotel Barossa Valley Resort

Have stayed previously and locatoon was great for our purposes. I must acknowledge how clean our rooms were.

The view was gorgeous, the pool was nice and the restaurant food was great, loved the Chicken Kiev. Staff were friendly and welcoming

Just some minor things the Wifi box was in the timber desk drawer, I opened it up and the Wifi box was extremely hot to the point where i could not touch the back of it. This could be a potential fire risk? Also got woken up about 6am from the family / young kids above our room. Room above us was really noisy.

It needs a good clean Pool is never warm enough for the kids to swim in The pillows had a horrible smell. As if they weren’t dried properly. Asked to have the swapped and they didn’t do it. Called again and the lady who came to swap them said it was odd as they never get washed. Thats gross!

The room was spacious, included a lounge which was a bonus, bed was comfortable, lovely view from balcony. Private and quiet

Shared bathroom in two bedroom apt - ok for family but not two couples.

Great location, beautiful amenity, fabulous staff and lovely rooms.

The views were stunning. They have an Endota Spa at the location. The staff were very nice and did apologise - which they seemed to do a lot really.

Room smelt damp and musty. Turned out to be the pillowcases/pillows. These were changed and the smell improved. For a 4 star hotel I thought it wasn’t great. The room was dated dull and dusty. Could do with a good clean. Booked for dinner the first night Starters were excellent and thought we had found a winner Main meals - husband ordered flank steak which was incredibly chewy. I ordered mushroom fricassee with polenta, which can only be described as grey water with little lumps and boiled bits of mushroom. I could not eat this it was terrible. I ordered a desert after which I was not charged for making it a two course meal as per the menu option. Breakfast which was included in our price was very average. Ordered a coffee at the bar. The man serving then arrived at the table with two coffees stated what they were (not ours) I said No not ours sorry. He gave me a “look” repeated what he was holding and added loudly - with almond milk. I told him - no still not ours. Our coffee arrived and the lady then tipped my coffee over the table. All good though as it was cold. I used the self service coffee machine for the next one! Food was average and dry.

The room was beautiful, modern, high spec and spotlessly clean. Beautiful views and a lovely hotel to stay in. We loved the pool, restaurant and bar. We would stay here again.
