Omni San Francisco

We actually stayed with the Omni San Francisco in December 2024, but I wasn't able to go that far back in the drop down. Lovely experience! The property at Christmastime is decorated so beautifully and the lobby is small, but mighty. On Fridays in December, there is a lovely welcome with cookies and chef made (delicious) hot chocolate. The location is terrific and if you need to head up the hill, the cable car is just outside the front entrance. The rooms are comfortable and fit my family of 4 (two small children) perfectly. The beds have wonderful character and were perfect to hang little stockings from to surprise my kids. We had one small little issue, but it was taken care of by housekeeping right away. The front desk staff was welcoming and there was an adorable small desk and mailbox so the younger guests could write letters to Santa. Which brings me to the best part. A few weeks after our stay, we had packages arrive to our home addressed to my children. The hotel actually read their wish lists and sent them gifts they had listed. I was floored - I'd never seen such a thoughtful gesture in all my hotel stays. The kids couldn't believe it and we were so touched. It was an incredibly kind and warm thing to do, something you don't normally see. We wanted to stay with another historic hotel this past year, but we all decided that we missed the Omni and will absolutely return.

Great spot in the middle of everything SF. Rooms were good size, clean, and quiet. Bar/Restaurant was very good. Staff was very welcoming and helpful.

Beautiful hotel close to everything. Rooms and staff were impeccable.

The bathroom was beautifully renovated, but wish it was slightly larger.

Great place, close by foot to the main areas.

AC is super cold. In all facilities including restaurant and bar. It does not make any sense.

Although I was there on business, this hotel is great for a family outing in the city by the bay. The staff is great and the food at Monte's is fabulous. Location can't be beat - right in the middle of everything. So much within walking distance. I've been staying at this hotel since 2021. Would highly recommend.
