We work 51 weeks a year for this week at Monarch Beach. The rooms are luxurious, the views are stunning, but it is the staff that makes the vacation memorable. Everyone, from the valet and bellman to the tram drivers are incredibly warm and friendly. The wait staff such as Lyndsey and Jaclyn remember us from previous years and it feels like home, with an ocean view. Jannahbeth and Carlos and the entire team at check-in are exceptional. We cannot speak highly enough of them and the care and compassion they treated us when we had an unfortunate emergency and we needed to fly our daughter out to join us. The kindness shown toward us will never be forgotten.

This was unquestionably the best resort experience we have ever had. We were welcomed by Noah at the front desk, who was kind and knowledgeable — and upgraded our room in light of diamond status. Our suite was large, well appointed, comfortable and opulent. Cleaning was immaculate and outlets were aplenty. The pool and beach club were wonderful, and the food (although pricey) was good at all resort restaurants. Resort employees were genuinely nice and helpful, from the beach club staff to the pool staff to the gentlemen at the valet — including one in particular who went out of his way to say hello to my son and offer him a toy car. The little details matter and the WA staff went above and beyond. Sitting on our flight home, we truly look forward to returning to this property. Calling this a tremendous experience hardly does it justice.

On our second day here but really great so far. My family lives in LA and we booked a last minute stay before the kids start school. Grounds are beautiful, and our happy spot is the private beach/ beach club. Paul was so awesome, found me coffee and made the kiddos so excited for the sandcastle contest. The only cons would be bikes and gym are 18+ but who am I to complain? If you want a family vacay away from LA this is the spot.

I had a great experience. They were nice about late check in and Noah checked us in. He is really nice and he was very knowledgeable about the property. He shared advice about restaurants and confirmed our dinner reservations, which we had made as it was our 10 year wedding anniversary. He wished us and also helped us even secure the perfect room. The hotel was completely full, and there were two weddings happening this weekend, but it still seemed very intimate, and there was a lot of attention to Detail. The hotel was very clean and it is very friendly to families from what it seemed as they were young children as well. We had dinner at aveo which was not too busy and we were seated right away and the service was great . The hummus was great. The chicken was really good as was the Seabass. The rooms have televisions which connect to streaming services if you have them. There’s a little bit of a lag, but it works pretty well. The next morning we had lunch at Monarch beach club, which is pretty cool. It is right on the ocean and the tram is always available. There was no wait . The staff is very nice and offers to take pictures and greets with warm smiles throughout the property. Lunch was great. I had the chicken tacos, protein style, and the chicken tacos were very good. Of note, they only have brunch on Sundays. We checked out and got all the benefits of Hilton honors and Noah actually checked us out also. He asked how our trip went and made sure everything was perfect. He went over our folio in detail and we did have some questions and he was so patient and we will definitely be back God willing. This is my favorite hotel.

It was our first time in the Orange County area and we loved Laguna Beach and Newport Beach areas.

Everything, from the ambiance, facilitates, rooms & staff. It was a perfect stay, we extended our stay because we loved the place so much. The staff were beyond accommodating, especially Lori at the front desk/reception (my kids adored her), Jorge at one of the main restaurants during breakfast (there are plenty of restaurant choices in the resort), Dan at the Spa/Nail salon & Parker who was the sweet driver of the Tram (my kids adored him too) & everyone at the pool. Every single staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

My husband thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waldorf Astoria. We wanted to take our pup with us on vacation. When I called the resort the first receptionist said we’re not allowed anywhere around the resort except the lobby and our room. We checked around and we were not going to stay at the Waldorf, but I decided to make a second call, the receptionist Judith said my dog was welcome. She reserved a first floor quiet room with a fire pit and a S’more kit, a blanket for our Bernedoodle, and a bottle of wine. We truly enjoyed the property and our pup sat with us on the terrace for dinner. During our stay we saw several dogs on the property. The hotel was clean and the employees exceptional. I recommend the Waldorf Astoria.
