Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago/Aurora

Yes this may be the best Hampton Inn in America. And we have stayed in many of them all over the country. This isn't your ordinary run-of-the-mill Hampton sitting at an exit ramp off a freeway. This is a special place. About the room: spotless clean everywhere. Our king size room was larger than normal. Very tastefully decorated. Large bathroom with everything you need. The breakfast: fabulous. Not just some cereall and bananas and yogurt. They serve the best maple sausage and roasted red potatoes you will ever eat. Really. Coffee is piping hot and delicious. Puts Starbucks and most boutique coffee shoppes to shame. They also have a waffle maker and the batter is very tasty, and two flavors. Plus the area is clean. No spilled and dripping waffle mix all over the place. The ceiling of the very large breakfast area rises 2+ stories and there is a lot of light. With no hesitation we recommend this Hampton Inn and we're very picky people!

As I see the high marks this hotel has received by other travelers, I am curious as to why my experience was so different. My room had not been cleaned and the bathroom was quite dirty. Staff was not responsive. I asked to be moved to a new room, since mine was not clean, and I was told it had been cleaned prior to my arrival and my request was denied. The A/C was very loud, and the walls are paper thin. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hotel, and again, I am left to wonder why my experience was so different from others on this site.

This was a family mini vacation for a family reunion in Aurora. All employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and fresh.

I was very impressed with this Hampton Inn. Everything about it was great. Clean, comfortable rooms, a wonderful breakfast area, and a great pool area. The decor everywhere was very nice too. It takes a lot for me to be this impressed!

Everything. The staff was rude. I asked for late check out and they approved then did not honor it. Really nasty in the hotel also. Also someone broke into my car in the parking lot and stole stuff out of my car.

Very nice hotel but they no longer offer the complimentary drinks and soups they used to have in the lobby. This hotel is very pricey and only offer 2 bottles of water to Hilton members when they used to give you a bag full of snacks.

I really enjoyed the room. It was large, very clean and loved the large shower. Room looked newly remodeled. The breakfast was very good and offered a great variety. Would definitely stay again.
