The Spencer Hotel by Castle

The room was very comfortable. The view of the city was beautiful and the blackout curtains helpful. The front desk staff was also very helpful, kind, and friendly.

The floor finish in the lobby looked like it really needed fixing.

Location

Cleanliness. Dirty carpet and skirting boards. Splashes on the walls looked like food. Bathroom was old and mouldy .

Doesn’t have a restaurant so no breakfast or dinner available or room service.

Room was great, wonderful views, very quiet. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Awesome view, and room much bigger than I thought it would be. Gym facilities were excellent.

Lobby floor was a bit tired looking and only one staff on reception for check in which meant there was a queue.

I had the best view from my room across the harbour to Auckland city. The hotel was sited right beside a great cafe. The shower was outstanding and I slept well in the bed. The hotel was close to where my son lived

I cannot think of anything that could be better

The location of the hotel was great, close to shops and the beach. The room was a great size too.

The cleanness of the hotel was not the best. We stayed 4 nights, room got serviced on the 3rd day why not on the second day? Room was very dusty and bathroom had no fan floor got very wet after having a shower. For a 4 star Hotel there was no Restaurant or bar, only food available was frozen pre-packed food to microwave or use oven. There were a lot of cafe and restaurants around, but you expect a 4 star hotel to have them.
