Cleanliness, yoghurt breakfast was good, close to Longwood Gardens.

Charging for the in-room bottled water, if not a Hilton member, is an insulting joke. I’ve only stayed in 36 hotels this year, this Hilton my 6th in US. A complimentary bottle of water is a given. Seeing a $3.00 charge for in-room water so annoyed me that I will avoid Hiltons. I always have because the Hilton family is proudly obnoxious Because this Hilton is so close to Longwood, I booked it. And we had to wait an hour to be served a bowl of yogurt, granola and fruit. Worst: the hum in room 315 that sounds like a diesel truck running outside the room.

The breakfast was decent.

The noise from construction was unbearable. We were there two nights with no sleep. There is no noise reduction. Why anyone would put us directly in front of where the construction was ongoing in a hotel that was not fully booked is unbelievable. Clearly no one there has a clue...

Attitude. That sums up our experience at Hilton Garden Inn Kennett Square. From the moment we stepped in (all TEN OF US in SIX ROOMS), we we're made to feel like we were nothing special. Seemed it was a real chore to be kind and accommodating, even though we brought our Mid-West visitor charm with us. The rates are exorbitant for what you get, plain and simple - nothing special about the rooms, no breakfast, no concierge, broken computer printer. The kicker was our request to meet for pizza in the lounge one evening near the fireplace. We were denied with attitude, the reason stated that it was a "rule" for the benefit of the tiny mess-hall kitchen and bar had priority (of which we had no notice). Over TEN GUESTS in SIX ROOMS staying for FOUR NIGHTS (that like $4,200 in lodging revenue) with nothing but attitude for explanation. Other Hilton Garden Inns in our experience were nothing like this! We will not return. Find someplace else.
