Residence Inn Irvine John Wayne Airport Orange County

I ran into a last minute problem with our airbnb reservation. I had not planned to stay in a hotel for the eight nights we would be in town. I was concerned about a hotel being able to meet my families needs for a vacation for so many days. I dropped in to the Residence Inn on Dec 26th. The front employee was gracious. She was not able to leave the front desk but found another employee to show me the rooms she felt would meet our needs. I booked that evening. The king suite is perfect for for our family of three with one service dog. All of the staff has been pleasant, helpful when asked and professional. It is extremely clean in each area. The quality of the furniture, and rooms feels above the standard I expected. The suite has everything we need! When I asked the front desk for the location of the ice machine, I was told the fridge has one, I just needed to turn on. Breakfast is Is comparable to other hotels. My child was thrilled chocolate milk has been available each day. Parking is conveniently located. There is a parking fee. Wifi has met our need. Thermostat works well at keeping our suite comfortable. There is enough dresser space. The pullout couch is good for kids. The mattress could have been in better condition. The other customers have kept to themselves and we have plenty of quiet. We will stay here when we visit again. We will consider a Residence Inn on other trips. The pictures on trip advisory are not all accurate. I'd suggest visiting there website for current pictures.

I liked the soda water!! The breakfast was delicious and staff was generous and friendly.

Bed sheets : we ask the cleaning 2 times /1 week not changing just upside down.

This is a super nice hotel in a good area. Unfortunately the customer service is abhorrent. My wife stayed for a couple days for work and when she left she received an email from Cody Emerson who I presume is a manager there accusing her of leaving a black hair dye stain on their bathroom carpet and they would be charging us $400. My wife has blonde hair and was there for work with nothing that could cause the stain (she noticed it, but it's not her responsibility to bring up old stains). When she brought this up to him over the phone she was told it didn't matter and we could dispute it with our CC company (which we did). In addition, we noticed they overcharged her for parking doubling up how much she should have been charged. The management here is incompetent and honestly scammy. She was planning on staying here again as she has work in the area every once in a while, but never again.
