We had a good experience at the Wingate by Wyndham in Lexington, VA. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable — exactly what we needed after a long day of travel. The location is convenient to the highway and local attractions, and the indoor pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. We would stay here again.

Unfortunately, service fell short in TWO areas. Breakfast was one of the biggest disappointments — items were not replenished, the selection was limited, and what was available didn’t seem fresh. My husband can eat just about anything and would not eat the undercooked sausage. It felt like the staff wasn’t keeping up with the morning rush at all. The pool area was another issue. There were no towels available, and when I asked the front desk, it took a long time for anyone to bring more — if they arrived at all. It made using the pool more frustrating than relaxing. The hotel has potential, but these basic service issues really affected the overall experience. I hope management addresses them. The staff did mention they were short staffed plus people called in sick.
