Hotel du Vieux Quebec

Excellent location walkable to everything in the Old City (vieux de ville), helpful staff, spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms and bathroom, the updates/renovations have made the hotel charming and also modern. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is the room rate is very high.

Staff were wonderful and very nice. They made my stay feel great The reason why i'm giving this hotel 3 stars is because of my room initially booked. I booked a standard queen size room. When i booked it the pictures were showing a well nice renevoted room but unfortunately reality was not. I jad been assigned a very old room with a slanting ceiling above my bed which made me feel clusterfobic. I informed front desk about it and i was only given an option of an upgrade for a superior queen room. Despite being falsly advertised of what room i would be expecting they ended up not trying to accomedate me better and satisfy a customer isted i had to pay 30$ a night plus taxes to get a better room that looked like the pictures i had booked. Beaware when booking

Stayed at this lovely boutique hotel following our cruise. Ambiance and staff were stellar. Room 105 which was amazing.

Great hotel with a wonderful location and helpful staff! The room was really nice and had each bed in its own area, which was great for my friend and I to have privacy. The comfortable lounge and its coffee and water were a real plus as well.

What a find! We were part of a tour group and needed to spend an extra night in Quebec City. We checked the Frontenac which is where we were spending our last night on the tour. They wanted over $1000 for one night! We found du Vieux on Trip Advisor and were so pleased. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room-105- was spacious and quiet. There were many restaurants within easy walking distance. We would gladly stay here again.

This is truly a wonderful hotel to stay at. Our room was lovely!! Elements of the old building mixed with clean, natural, modern furniture and details. Nice amenities, beverage cooler, coffee and tea makers, TV, lights on the headboard of the bed, hairdryer in bathroom, nice soap/hair products and good size bathroom. We had a room that had a nice view of the street, but we could barely hear any noise. Staff was SO Lovely, friendly, helpful. Lobby/Lounge area is nice with fruited water and an amazing coffee/Cappuccino/Espresso maker. Location was perfect! Close to all kinds of restaurants and just a short walk to Dufferin Terrace and all of the activities there. Ask for the breakfast basket to be delivered to your room for a small fee. It was great! The restaurant in the building was Great as well. They grow a lot of their own produce on the rooftop. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Great location, in the heart of Old Quebec City. The hotel is very nice and clean. It's a boutique hotel which adds to the charm. We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
