"Accommodation/corridors leading to rooms let the hotel down"

Location for rspb nature reserve. Parking very good Towels were fresh and clean smelling. Staff friendly and pleasant

Corridors to rooms very uninviting, gloomy, almost scary! Tiny room with 4ft bed for 2 people. One side of bed against the wall so had to disturb partner in the night for the toilet. Limited drink facilities: only 2 teabags provided. Could clearly hear our neighbour talking on phone in his room. Sorry, but the accommodation side of the hotel is dismal. Room had "shake n vac" aroma which is overpowering when trying to sleep.

Staff are lovely, reception has clearly been upgraded and inviting downstairs

The rooms need the same upgrading, although clean it appears so so run down. Windows, flooring, bathroom seals need modernizing. Other modern hotels are not far off the cost.
