Barons Court Hotel

My husband and I had a business event to go to for the weekend. Being heavily pregnant, we wanted somewhere comfortable we could relax after a long day travelling (9 hours), and a long day at the business event. Upon arrival, the receptionist was lovely checking us in. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended. The first room we were given had a tap that wouldn’t stop running and cracked toilet which had been filled, with dirty tiles in the bathroom. The receptionist very kindly moved us to another room where unfortunately, it didn’t get any better. Cracked toilet, calc filled into the crack and around the pipes, cracks in the tiles, dirty bath, brown stains on the towel, bits over the carpet and hair in the bed. The room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke stained in the fabrics with loud squeaky floorboards from the corridor and surrounding rooms. During the evening, people were shouting and suspicious smoking (strong smell) from the car park below our window. We booked this hotel based on the reviews as they seemed positive, however, we did everything we could to stay away from the hotel as long as possible, only going back to sleep and leave again the next morning. It needs a full refurbishment to bring it up to a clean and comfortable standard.

People puklling into car park late at night talking loud outside smoking unchallenged after midnight. Beds comfy room spacious staff friendly breakfast decent

Perfect B&B! Beds are very comfy, rooms are lovely. No signs of air-con in our room and it was very hot

An excellent budget hotel for any traveller. Yes the building is an older style this is reflected in the price band. The staff are very friendly and eager to assist you.

This hotel is run down the hallways smell of weed and smoke the carpets are covered in stains the rooms are dated and the bathrooms has mold around it. I would avoid this place.

When pulling up to the hotel it looked abandoned with smashed windows. We drove ariund the back in a back door some locals seemed to be having a meeting. The floors were very dirty but did see the cleanernin the morning hoovering. Bed was comfy but cold tap constantly ran all night and also could here the neighbour in nect room watching tv till 2.30 in the morning. We went for breakfast and there was an argument between staff in the reception area next to the breakfast area which made my son very nervous so we left quickly.

Very easy to find friendly receptionist

Terrible hotel. This was a pay on arrival booking. However was charged in advance. Staff didn't care. Room stank. TV didn't work. Staff refused to try and fix. No dining available other than breakfast. Avoid.

First room I was given wasn’t cleaned Second room I had I dropped my bag off and went out On my return I decided to put the tv on and it didn’t work and at 12.30am I wasn’t going to say anything Cracked tiles on bathroom floor

Shower, fridge and aircon didn’t work, that was in the privileged’ room. Was allowed to shower in a different room, that was also broken. Generally a broken hotel
